Reasons for doing Chemical peel

A chemical peel is a procedure that rejuvenates the skin. Depending on the specific issues you want to address, there are three depths of chemical peels to choose from:

Light chemical peel

This removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and is used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone, and dryness. It is typically done every two to five weeks.

Medium chemical peel

This removes skin cells from both the epidermis and the upper part of the middle layer of skin (dermis). It is used to treat wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. You may need to repeat the procedure to achieve and maintain the desired results.

Deep chemical peel

This removes skin cells even deeper and is recommended by your doctor for deeper wrinkles, scars, or precancerous growths. Unlike the other peels, you won’t need repeat procedures to achieve the full effect.
