Causes
Granuloma Annulare
The exact etiology of granuloma annulare remains unclear; however, it is often considered a delayed hypersensitivity reaction involving components of the dermis. Various triggers have been identified, ranging from skin infections and minor injuries to more significant systemic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, and even some malignancies. Environmental factors such as sun exposure, animal or insect bites, and even certain medications have also been implicated in triggering or exacerbating this condition.
