General Symptoms
The general symptoms of dermatitis include:
- Itchiness
- Redness and rash
- Dry, cracked, or scaly skin
- Blisters that may ooze and crust
- Thickened skin from chronic scratching
- Small, raised bumps
Specific Symptoms by Type
- Atopic Dermatitis: Red, dry, bumpy, and itchy skin, often on hands, elbows, neck, knees, ankles, feet, and around the eyes.
- Contact Dermatitis: Painful or itchy rash due to contact with allergens or irritants.
- Seborrheic Dermatitis: Red, dry, flaky, and itchy skin on the scalp, face, and ears.
- Perioral Dermatitis: Acne-like or rosacea-like rash around the mouth, eyes, and nose.
